The Battle of Evesham 2019 Events
03/08/2019 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm
As part of the Battle of Evesham Medieval Festival, there are two events you might like to attend:
This is led by Anthony Rich of the Battlefields Trust on Saturday 3rd August. The walk will last about 2 hours.
It starts at 11.00, or immediately following the Battle Commemoration at the Montfort Memorial in Abbey Park, if that lasts longer than expected.
Please meet in St. Lawrence Church.
There is no charge – but donations towards Battlewell Field maintenance expenses gratefully received.

Dr Sophie-Therese Ambler – Book Signing
Dr Sophie Thérèse Ambler is Lecturer in Later Medieval British and European History and Deputy Director of the Centre for War and Diplomacy at Lancaster University, and a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society. Her research explores political ethics and war in the central and later Middle Ages in Europe and the Crusades. Her new book, The Song of Simon de Montfort: England’s First Revolutionary and the Death of Chivalry, is out now with Picador.
The Battle of Evesham and the Almonry Museum are pleased to welcome Dr Sophie-Therese Ambler to Evesham on Saturday 3rd August 2019. She will be holding a Q&A and book signing at 1pm on Crown Meadow followed by a book signing.
We would like to invite you to the Q&A and book signing, where there will be an opportunity to purchase a copy of The Song of Simon de Montfort: England’s First Revolutionary and the Death of Chivalry
If you have any questions that you would like to ask Dr Ambler, we are asking for them to be submitted in advance. Please send any questions to Ashleigh Jayes via email firstname.lastname@example.org
